January 2025 – First CFSS-certified Agency in Crow Wing County
Golden Heart became the first agency in Crow Wing County to receive CFSS (Community First Services & Supports) certification ahead of the deadline. This milestone reflects our dedication to leadership, compliance, and delivering high-quality support services in our community. Achieving CFSS certification enabled us to expand our service options, improve flexibility, and serve more individuals with dignity and choice.
September 2025 – Nominated as #1 Elder Care Services
The Brainerd community recognized us as First Place in Best Elder Care Services.

October 2025 – HER Magazine Women in Business Feature
A Legacy of Women Leading with Heart
In October 2025, HER Magazine featured Golden Heart Home Health Services, LLC in their Women in Business edition. The article celebrated the extraordinary women whose leadership has shaped Golden Heart’s mission and impact in the Brainerd Lakes Area.
It began with DeLyte Specht, who founded Golden Heart Home Care, Inc. and laid the foundation of compassion and service that continues to guide us today. Sue Grattan built upon that foundation when she later established Golden Heart Home Health Services, LLC. For more than three decades, Sue led with vision, strength, and a true “heart of gold,” growing Golden Heart into a trusted name in care.
In January 2025, Missy Hines stepped into ownership, carrying forward the mission she had supported closely for years. With determination and integrity, Missy is guiding Golden Heart into its next chapter while ensuring the values of compassion and quality remain at the heart of everything we do.
That mission now continues to grow with Hailey Grattan, serving as Director of Operations. Hailey oversees day-to-day operations, supporting clients and staff alike while bringing new energy and perspective to Golden Heart’s leadership team.
The article also honored the dedicated staff who work together like family, ensuring clients receive the best possible care. This recognition came in the same year Golden Heart was voted #1 Elder Care Service in the Brainerd Dispatch’s Best of the Best Awards — a true reflection of the lives touched, families served, and the women and staff who have poured their hearts into Golden Heart for decades.
